Pacific Telemedicine Network 
January 2019 began a 3-year Telemedicine
and Education Program in American Samoa funded through a USDA Distance Learning and Telemedicine Program grant. Through
the grant we are able to provide a full suite of diagnostic equipment for the LBJ Tropical Medical Center
and 9 Community Clinics.Working with the American Samoa Department of Health and the LBJ Tropical Medical Center, the project is establishing video consultations and health information exchange with Specialists in California. The primary focus of the project is on the use of Telemedicine for Opioid Use Disorder treatment, recovery and education.
